Good for part-time early, don’t fall for the lies! - Store Manager Big 5 Sporting Goods Employee Review

Pros

Good camaraderie between coworkers, usually have them between 19-25 years old with the odd ones out in upper management.

Cons

Upper Management doesn’t help the managers at all. Expects young managers to be like experts in a field they probably wanted to work in during college.

Pros

Most employees were really fun to work with, life/work balance was great, taught me good life skills, good first job for work experience.

Cons

Barely got scheduled (pretty sure my location was way over employed), occasional rude and entitled costumers (especially during the holidays), could get very slow and boring at times, sketchy area, overal, not a great job if you're looking for something that pays well.
