Pros
Food and people were cool, pay was ok
Cons
I work in HR and payroll, and my manager is really struggling. They never trained me, but I managed to do well with my existing skills. Unfortunately, my manager didn't like me and got upset when I asked basic questions like whether we have a place to store past info or a process for 401k payments. The answer was "no" to both. I found out that some employees weren't getting paid the right salaries for months, and there were tax issues, but I couldn't access the info I needed. My manager often ignored me when I tried to talk to them!
I was let go because of my notes being too detailed or not enough, but some proper training and support could have fixed this. My boss was very controlling and didn't help me with my tasks. They even stopped me from handling payroll properly, and the 401k process was a mess. I also handled bills, but my boss reviewed everything and caused delays. I tried to make things better by setting up a system to track changes and created a folder for old payrolls since we had no shared system. I also suggested encrypting data for security, but my boss ignored that and kept sensitive info in their unsecured email.
When I asked about deleting old payrolls, my boss just said they delete them, which isn't a good idea, especially for audits. Despite all this, I still think HYBE is a great company, and I won't let a couple of bad people ruin my overall positive experience. If we could replace my boss and their controller, things in HR and finance at HYBE America would get much better.
