Pros
When you hear of a startup Company with a highly differentiated product and the motivation to go higher, it ticks all the right boxes for where you want to be. There are various Pros that i have experienced which i would highlight here. A) Company Culture : A very pleasant and respectful culture and attitude towards people means everyone is looked after nicely. B) Opportunities to Grow : One can be assured if they have the capability to go higher and motivation to take everyone along to higher standards you will find enough opportunities to grow as an individual both personally and professionally. C) Flexibility : Again this is a company where the outcomes matter more than whether you are in the office in a 9-5. With flexibility comes also the responsibility to justify your own place at work so be prepared for that in a good way :). D) Represent the Brand at Events : I find this a very rewarding experience that you are able to go out in the filed on business events and conferences to make a mark for the company and also network with other individuals in marketplace. Almost everyone in the company gets that opportunity. E) Stock Options : Being a Pre-IPO Company which has had 3 rounds of funding in quick succession the stock options are a very attractive proposition as well. Above all the decision to join the company also depends on the management and this is where i find the Trio of the 2 Co-Founders and the CFO are a very able and well respected people who take good care of you.
Cons
Whilst i don't have any specific Cons as such i would like to highlight that this is a place for self starters who can take responsibility and get the job done in a fast paced environment. That's also one of the challenges of working in a fast paced startup where things and technology evolve pretty fast and you got to be able to adapt appropriately.
