Pros
Great learning experience in sales and operations. It is a small company so sometimes you get to wear multiple hats at a time which is good for understanding the big picture of how a company operates. Management is always working on improving the processes and updating the technology which is great for time-management and organizations skills. One learns many soft skills - accuracy, attention to details, organization and time management during their course of employment at Biomatik. One thing I was impressed with is transparency in the organization which is rarely seen in other companies/organizations. Pay, bonus structure, benefits, vacation time (2 weeks plus paid Christmas break) are competitive. There is a lot of focus on team building activities recently which is a great initiative from the management team.
Overall, it is a great place to learn and develop understanding of operations as well as develop skills that are beneficial in any work environment.
Cons
Limited growth opportunities as it is a small company. Out of the two departments, sales department definitely faces more challenges and pressure from management. Company can certainly benefit from better communication between departments as well as a change in the management style which will help the company in long run by being able to retain good and reliable employees plus save time in training new employees.
