Pros

Met a few nice people.

Cons

This job was bad from the first day I walked in. I was shown my cube and told to basically have fun. Minimal interaction for two weeks, then a training on the core system for a week, then I sat for about three months with no work. Got two projects that had very little work. Spent most of my time reading a book and playing games on my phone. Found out there was rift between IT Infrastructure and QA and was told that they couldn't work together. So I kept them separate. Then got yelled at and put on a PIP for following that protocol. Ran projects by the seat of my pants because there was no training and no expectations. Then all of a sudden I was told I was running projects incorrectly and there was a mysterious QA process I was supposed to follow. When I asked for process documentation, I was told it was too immature and it didn't exist. I then found the documented process and learned this wasn't the correct process either. I still don't know what the process is. Stay very far away from this place.

Pros

Generous benefits that support employee health. Considerate managers and close knit teams. Fun holiday outings and generous quarterly goals paid out to the entire company.

Cons

You have to remain in your hired position for one full year before you are ever considered to be a worthy candidate for an internal position even if you would be a superior applicant for another role Blaze is hiring for. If you start in customer service good luck ever getting out of it unless that is what you want. There are rigid requirements on upward mobility and even if you prove yourself you will have to wait. If you ever thought working remotely at Blaze would be an option, there are employees who work remotely in admin that are being pushed out, the company is slowly pushing employees back into office.
