Pros

- free coffee - pizza screenings

Cons

- no career growth, seems a certain few people at the top got promotions multiple times per year - job satisfaction/pay is low... too many layoffs and suspicious exits, bad for moral, job enlargement etc - job stability is non-existent except for the select few - some managers seem to be checked out mentally - unclear integration of new teams result in dept head disputes, delays etc

Pros

A lot of nice people just trying to make it work!

Cons

The org structure is a mess and they won't fix it because of internal politics. HR remains hands off while duplicate teams get built across different business units and corporate services, resulting in teams doing overlapping work, battling for relevance and guarding their portfolios because they’re terrified of losing what little they have. This has cratered collaboration and trust across an organization that once treated their colleagues with respect and deference (something that stopped happening two years ago). HR is nowhere to be found here, and even privately there is acknowledgment of how dysfunctional this has become. The dysfunction will almost make you laugh … and then cry some more.  Lot of layoffs happening, but also a lot of big talent willingly jumping ship. I'm definitely planning my exit. Acquisitions are consistently mishandled. No planning, no organizational strategy, no accountability, and a lot of egos. Every new company gets absorbed into the existing dysfunction and nothing changes.  Leadership opportunities often appear to favor personal relationships or strategic placements that reinforce existing power structures. A real Chief People Officer is desperately needed to clean this up and take control.

Pros

The colleagues I work with are amazing, smart, and resilient.

Cons

Everything else. There is a massive disconnect between the C-suite and the actual work being done. We have raised flags about burnout and unrealistic timelines for months, and we are consistently gaslit or ignored.
