Pros

The office culture is great in that breakfast supplies are provided, coffee, drinks, alcohol, etc., and there is always a positive "can-do" creative feel going on. The momentum the company has is a constant source of inspiration in that more and more people (our customers) are learning about food and how to cook.

Cons

In order to move up from an entry-level position such as this one, it is necessary to befriend the right people, speak endlessly with specific people to make your interest known, and do this by attending happy hours and socializing outside the office. There is a certain "game" that needs to be played to move up within the company from this department. The customer service department is highly numbers driven and is a call-center environment, unfortunately, with an entirely different feel from the rest of the office and performance is based solely on how many tickets per minute are answered (quantity vs. quality). Not the best position for someone who genuinely cares about the company mission, to connect with the customer, and get to know their team, which is unfortunate. It is easy to burn out in this role and often times temps are hired to help with the volume.
