Pros
Considered individually, some good people; decent benefits.
Cons
Horrible management, and company culture. Constant upheaval due to the frequent and deep reorganizations (about once a year many of the executives are purged) and this has been happening for quite a few years. Nothing ever really gets better; it's like a revolving door. Then there are the people that have worked at BSC for very long term who just have somehow decided to keep their head down and out of the line of fire. In the last year or two, now that they have to try and stay afloat in the competitive environment around Covered California, the culture has taken a nasty, back-biting turn. When I clearly saw that pattern developing, is when I decided to leave what was an incredibly dysfunctional, toxic environment where people were willing to say anything about anyone just to try and save their job.
