Management is fickle and rarely keeps a thread of sanity. A startup is supposed to be fast moving, but not sheer chaos with no leadership. There is no sense of loyalty and upper management would rather hire the cheapest and most passive staff in hopes they will blindly follow unethical practices such as deliberately lying to sales prospects. Middle management is a figment of an idea and has no power or ability to truly help when a staff member struggles. Growth is simply not achievable. Management will continuously feed hope and yank it back.
