It was ok, started when the take over happened. Looked good but new management can not take care of employees, money is not everything. Not all employees are qualified for what they are doing. Some are very unprofessional, act like kinder gardeners. And everyone is always looking for another job. Most ppl hate it there. Word of advice go if you want XP but leave as soon as you get the opportunity. The world is bigger then their kinder garden class. - Marketing Bluefly Employee Review

Pros

People are nice the ones that have been there for more then 3 years everyone else ehhhh. You can get XP if you put hard work into it, but leave at your first opportunity.

Cons

Management does what they want not based on data and experience. They think throwing money at people will make them work harder or be more loyal to the brand. Everyone is not treated equally.

Pros

You can't be negative here or you're going to get nowhere. I'm lucky to have really great people on my team who I work with everyday and who I can depend on. I realize that other teams might not be so lucky. Bluefly has a start-up environment which means all hands on deck...your effort actually has a great affect on the success of the company. Being here has taught me a lot in terms of working in the retail fashion industry and just overall time management, organization, and interpersonal skills. Should I ever move on in the future, I believe that I would be equipped to do so ten fold.

Cons

Like I said, I have a great team, but I do have some gripes with the accountability of other teams. It seems like there isn't really a standard held across the entire company which can make it frustrating and hard to do my job sometimes. My team tends to pick up the slack a lot and management seems to be okay with this more than I would like. Despite this, I do think that it has gotten significantly better since I've started, and steps are still being actively taken to improve this issue. I am optimistic that we will get to a place where everyone will eventually be on the same page.
