Development work is rewarding and office is nice

Development work isn't always available and most of the company income seems to come from extremely stressful consulting work

It's a very stable company for such a small size. It still has a dynamic start-up mentality even though it's well past the start-up stage. The work can be interesting as new projects are started regularly (though they may not always come to fruition).

There aren't many processes for doing the basic day-to-day work so everything is quite ad-hoc. The quality of the work produced varies significantly from employee to employee and from project to project as a result. Communication can be extremely patchy between management and employees about all aspects of the business.
