Pros

Bluevine offers strong benefits and genuine opportunities for growth. I’ve been able to take on responsibilities beyond my core role and work on initiatives I care about, which has helped me advance my career. When I’ve identified areas for improvement, I’ve been given the chance to help build solutions rather than just point them out. If you’re proactive, there’s real room to innovate, take ownership, and make an impact, which is what startup culture should be about.

Cons

Like many startups, there are growing pains. Processes aren’t always fully built out, and some early team members can be attached to legacy ways of doing things. The environment isn’t for everyone. You have to be comfortable with change and ambiguity. While the benefits are strong overall, I do wish the PTO offering were more generous compared to other tech companies.

Pros

Catered lunches, insurance benefits, internet stipend

Cons

Not much room for internal growth, I feel as though it’ll take me years to grow. Stuck on night shift, didn’t get my preferred day shift.

Pros

Almost everyone at this company is wonderful to work with. Most are willing to help whenever needed and understand that we win together. Benefits were great as well

Cons

Senior Management and above needs a major rework. When I started, every mistake was a learning opportunity. The idea of win together was strong and we all helped each other in this aspect. Due to layoffs, Senior Management and VPs were forced to be overworked. New Tasks were developed for teams that hadn't had them previously. When team leads and managers asked for help developing operational procedures, most of the time the help was not received. I was told once "If you can't figure it out on your own, then why the hell are you even here?" I thought I was able to go far here, and was very willing to grow and change in the areas I needed to, but upper management was no longer receptive to feedback, and instead gave pushback, excuses, and put the blame on team lead and jr managers. Further, 3 rounds of layoffs in a year and a half is not a good look, and terrible for morale.
