In response to this employee's review of Bluffton Motor Works, it is appropriate to respond to the title of the review, "Good Place for Experience not a Career". I have talked with this employee about this review and informed them that I would be writing a response. (Yes, this employee is still employed by Bluffton Motor Works)
This employee was initially brought into our company as a CO-OP, working 20 hours/week, from their university in 2010. This was a paid CO-OP.
Once they completed their undergrad we were impressed by their work and offered them the position of Marketing Coordinator in June 2012 with a yearly salary and bonus which was comparable to those who had recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree.
In July of 2013, this employee continued to impress our organization and was rewarded with a pay increase that was 5 points above the average increase in 2013. This pay increase also increased his bonus as it was a percent of salary.
This employee once again was given a raise and promotion in January 2014 to Product Manager which increased their pay by 12.6% and their percent of bonus also increased by 5 points.
They were again awarded another pay increase in July 2014 of 3.5% and so their bonus again increased.
This employee, since they have graduated college, has seen their pay increase by over 25% in 2 years; have been given the responsibility to be the leader in our Marketing department over our new multi-million dollar product offering; and gave a marketing presentation discussing the marketing plan of the new product line in front of the Board of Directors, which got them seen and noticed in front of our executive team.
I believe that this employee's 2 year tenure with Bluffton Motor Works, is the very definition of an upward trajectory for a career and not just gaining experience.
Bluffton Motor Works is always looking for bright, talented people and often we hire bright, YOUNG, talented people who want to grow their career with us.
