Pros
Relaxed and fun work environment, friendly coworkers. Birthdays and work anniversaries celebrated for everyone. Kitchen stocked with snacks. Owners were at times extremely generous early on.
Cons
Besides one person and the owners, nobody there had worked there over 5 years. People tended to quit or get fired. Extreme lack of management. You could go months without hearing a word from the owners, even though they were there most days.
If you went out of your way to go above and beyond to help the company out it would rarely get praise, but if you messed up in some way you'd get a talking to by the owners. Income is stagnant. Raises were good at first then stopped. Price of living shot up drastically in the area while pay increase stopped. Owners would flaunt their purchases of second homes and international vacations while decreasing company benefits and criticizing employees for wanting to live an 'Austin lifestyle' when an increase in income was asked for. One of the owners is very gossipy and plays favorites with employees which caused a rift between several employees over time and a lowered the sense of morale, and they subsequently got fired.
