Pros
The best part about working at Bodyset is they are one of few private companies that will hire new grads with no previous experience working in the private industry.
Cons
They are rapidly expanding (I think too quickly) which means they have more clinic rooms than physio which means you are constantly changing locations, hours and days your are work. In my 6 months my location and hours changed four times … this is not unusual. Obviously it’s a private clinic and the goal is to make money and be profitable, which is normal, as physios we went into private for more money and better balance. However, in my opinion Bodyset have made making money their priority over their employees and their patients. Most London clinic are within a gym, which means you are working by yourself most of the time, not great for a new grad. However, I think the worst part about lone working is you do not even feel like you are working for Bodyset, sure you have there name on your shirt, but you receive minimum support/contact from your line managers. I feel like I work more for the gyms than I do Bodyset. There is no sick pay so beware when accepting jobs. There are a bit petty when is comes to AL, ie if owe 30min by end of the year they will let you know… they never take into account the amount of times you arrive early or stay late to finish notes or make exercise plans. Lastly, there is a reason there is high turn over with this company, I suggest you reach out to employees on LinkedIn (current and previous) to get a full grasp of what the company is like.
