Pros
Good comp, fantastic technology, smart, capable, highly talented front-line sales teams (until they all got fired)
Cons
Whoever is at the helm of Boomi has created a disastrous environment for their staff. They've transitioned most of their sales team to brand-new (never sold before) reps based out of Canada and have fired all of the experienced, in-territory field reps. They put tons of reps out with 'performance based' layoffs with a blatant disregard for the factors playing into that- territory shifts, missing accounts, etc. The reps that have managed to last are all looking elsewhere AND they just fired the Senior manager they had to all the firing. Morale is in the absolute toilet. Imagine hitting your number for the quarter, then being fired right after that for 'performance' only to hear a few months later the CRO who designed your territories and numbers got fired and then hearing the guy that fired you got fired for performance as well. Lots of my personal friends have struggled after these surprise cuts (no PIPs, no warning) and it's left a bad taste in the mouth of folks that are left. You're seeing rockstar people leaving the company and no one is happy except the new inside reps who don't know any better. Boomi should be ashamed of themselves, but they're probably not. Additionally, they took interest-free loans from their employees masked as a pay-to-play 'pre IPO stock purchase plan.' They did not return these funds upon laying people off and have yet to pay back a cent to those in waves of layoffs going back go August. At the time of writing this thats 9 months that Boomi has held onto previous employees' cash investments (minimum 5k) after laying them off with a miserable 1 month severance package. The only redeeming thing Boomi has is their tech, but they're raising prices without making advancements in the product and have inexperienced reps selling it.
