Pros

Quick start , set your own hours

Cons

Botanic Tonics DSD program lacks transparency in every way . They will lure you in with the promise of new store incentives and they will be just as quick to start charging you unexplained fees and charge backs. The company will charge you 200 dollars for every store that you open that doesn't meet their purchasing standards . More specifically, stores that do not consistently order products. Also , if you are out in the field and need tech support, its highly likely that you will be waiting for hours on end for assistance if you are acknowledged and assisted at all . This company will require you to maintain a storage unit and you will be subjected to random storage audits and secret shopper audits. For any little infraction, you will be charged. Its utterly ridiculous. Botanic Tonics never pays the DSDs on time and they falsify charges to the DSD . Many people have reported never being paid for locations that they routinely serviced . Management is generally horrible and you will not get a straight answer out of anyone. There is constant misinformation provided if you do receive an answer. One person says one thing and another person says the complete opposite. All the company cares about is what you can do for them because everyone benefits off of the DSDs time and effort except the DSD . Its your vehicle that racks up the miles and your gas being burned. Yet , the average DSD is living hand to mouth and that is the real truth . Many can barely put gas in their cars. But yet and still , Botanic Tonics makes sure they consistently bill you without fail for the smallest thing. Yet ,when you inquire about your pay , nobody can tell you anything. My advice ? Do not get involved with this company. They specialize in exploitation of the sales associate. Management has no empathy and leaves you wondering if anyone on the management side is even a human being. Also , if you supposedly owe Botanic Tonics money , they will not ship you more products so that immediately puts you out of business if the alleged fees are high . Management is nothing but a bunch of sharks that keep circling the prey , which is you .As with most sales positions, what you do will never be enough.

Botanic Tonics Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Botanic Tonics, we take concerns from our DSDs seriously and are committed to fostering transparency, fairness, and support within the program. We do want to clarify a few points. Program costs, expectations, and incentive structures are outlined clearly during onboarding and in the DSD agreement so that each participant has a full understanding of how the opportunity works before getting started. Fees are not “unexplained” or arbitrary; they are tied to agreed-upon performance standards that help ensure consistency for both our retailers and our DSDs. With respect to payments, Botanic Tonics follows a regular and documented payment process, and DSDs are always encouraged to reach out directly to our support team if they ever experience a delay or need clarification. We also provide storage and compliance requirements upfront as part of maintaining quality, safety, and brand integrity in the field. While we understand this opportunity may not be the right fit for everyone, many of our DSDs have built strong businesses and experienced personal and financial growth through the program. Our leadership and support teams remain committed to providing resources, answering questions, and addressing issues in a timely and consistent manner.
