Pros

The friends I met there.

Cons

First and foremost the job you initially apply for is very different to the job that you will end up doing. You will be fed a series of misleading statements and broken promises, which is not only a real shame but a clear breach of the job contracts. With no solid foundations in place, it is inevitable that the world the CEO wishes to build will come crumbling down. This is already evident in the shocking staff turnover levels - talented, capable staff are hired so there should be at least some sort of staff retention program in place. The fact that, upon leaving the company, these staff members are either ignored or marched out of the building is so unprofessional and degrading. Witnessing this behaviour made the decision to leave a lot easier. Communication at Bower is very poor - the CEO claims to have an open door policy, yet by entering the room or his space without asking beforehand has been known to result in disciplinary action being carried out. If this is the way that they wish to work, then fine but without clear rules being set out, I feel that penalising staff is absolutely absurd. We are not mind readers. Unfortunately for the CEO, he has deep rooted trust issues, which makes work hard for everyone. We wouldn't be working for the company if we didn't want it to succeed. It's like being a dog tied to a tree..
