Pros
Great pool of employees. Wonderful contract-level management. Remote work means work/life balance. Decent pay and benefits. Autonomy with workload and no micromanagement.
Cons
Principal$/owner$ do not care about the employee$. Do not expect raises for 3-5 years at a time no matter how well you do your job, how much additional work is put on your desk or how much the cost of living increases. Holiday bonuses not guaranteed, you might get a legitimate bonus, or $100 gift card, or just company merch. If you want to move up this is not the place for you. If laid off due to a lack of contract work you will not receive a severance package.
