Pros

* Very diverse (younger & older, veterans, different races, sexualities & cultures. The only category I have not seen is handicapped). * Likes to hire from within. So you can work here for decades and have lots of opportunities doing a wide variety of work all over the world * You can come back if you did good work, didn't burn bridges and find that it is actually not greener on the other side (I personally know of over 7 people who left Brady for other companies then later came back) * Brady is very active in the community and sponsors or gives to: STEM and innovation, higher education. hunger taskforce, Milwaukee Diaper Mission. homeless shelters. animal shelters. cancer support groups. local environment clean ups, so many of these types of things and in many different locations. *Pay can be acceptable or even good for some positions especially for upper management and long term employees. * Ability to buy up to 5 additional vacation days a year. * Occasional appreciation events with food trucks, mini bundt cakes, cookies. ice cream bar. catered holiday meals (Christmas & Thanksgiving here in USA), There will always be some who would "prefer more pay than pizza parties" (an expression often heard in many different companies and industries) * Quality products that make work, lives and compliance much easier. Nice to support products you can be proud of. Good for us (company & employees) that many of our products still needed and purchased in difficult times (pandemics, tariffs. recession) * Decent benefits and options - medical, dental. HSA or FSA. 401K. Roth IRA. Pension. Bonuses (if goals met, if company does well. Not guaranteed, but bonuses should not be considered guaranteed)

Cons

* No work from home (which really bothers some people - those who want to take it, those who resent anyone who does, see next half of statement) but is possible in rare; case-by-case; emergencies for positions that can be done from home. (I don't know why this form will not let me use commas). * Pay could be better for many positions, It should be competitive. * NA Technical Support needs more resources and should be given more respect - it is not just a cost center. They have to support a very wide variety of products (printers, scanners. label & ribbon or ink consumables - both stock & custom, desktop software & mobile apps) - with many models & generations of each. * HR fights flex time for hourly employees even for medical apts. If time does not interfere with job. time will be made up and supervisor approves, why fight it? This is not good for health, retention, employee relations.
