Pros
[Note: Glassdoor does not let me specify that my last year of employment there was 2019. The choices are 2020-2024. I also previously wrote a review, but Glassdoor deleted my account, and now I must add another in order to continue using Glassdoor. I find that quite aggravating. I would give Glassdoor a scathing, terrible review if I could.]
It was a comfortable job. I had a wide variety of tasks, and was never stressed by strict deadlines.
Cons
According to job salary survey web sites, when I started there in 2011, my pay was in the 1st percentile, meaning that 99% of engineers at my skill level were paid more than I was. In 2015, they gave me a raise, which brought me up to the amount I had been earning 15 years earlier. When I was laid off in 2019, my pay was still $40,000 less per year than it should have been. My severance pay was one month of health insurance. I really did myself a disservice by staying so long. The people were nice, though.
