From the outside, Brain Power appears to be the startup that has it all- great perks, a great mission and cutting edge research. During the interview process, you are lured in and promised things that will never be delivered. Don't be fooled. The company has no direction, and likely no future either. Once inside, you are not valued personally or professionally. The CEO is condescending and elitist, and If you don't agree you are quickly belittled and made to feel as though you are nothing. You will often question your own understanding of subjects you know well, as you will be consistently told your expertise is wrong if it does not fit within the CEOs opinion. If you have an offer, I strongly recommend not taking it, and if you are interviewing please don't waste your time jumping through the numerous hoops you will be asked to jump through. If you are an intern , I recommend you take your talents elsewhere, or simply build your own projects. Regardless of where you are in your career, this company will set you back. I'd opt for unemployment or self employment before working there again.
