Pros

Honestly the people at the bottom of this pyramid truly keep it together. The PTO was not bad, I was able to take time off from the incompetence whenever I needed it

Cons

Let’s start with the basics: nepotism, favoritism, lack of organization, waste of time (constantly). I have never met management that is so ready to waste precious time out of the day and then is determined to complain about why stuff has not been completed. I had heard that family owned businesses carry nepotism within them but wow this was a WHOLE other deal. Don’t get me started on the toxic positivity. You cannot disagree or basically be a differing opinion without becoming nuisance to someone. Systems at this company are also a disaster. I truly don’t understand how these people are in charge of a product that helps educate children anywhere.

Pros

Hybrid schedule with only 1 day/week in office The people are amazing - I truly like everyone I work with! Communication from leadership is timely & transparent. Fully built out teams who genuinely support each other Lots of fun events, employee gifts, teambuilding, volunteer day, onsites/offsites, and opportunities to socialize Weekly catered lunch & fully stocked office snacks/beverages

Cons

Coming from the retail/restaurant industry, it's a much slower pace than I was used to. It's not necessarily a "con" but just a different, more thoughtful approach to work.

Pros

BrainPOP's product is really loved, so the employees who choose to work here are super passionate and thoughtful. New leadership over the last year has really stabilized the company and is now solidifying a strong strategy. Culture is strong, nice people, flexible PTO- very employee friendly.

Cons

Salaries are lower than in big tech, and Ed-Tech is not currently the easiest market to navigate. The company has gone through a lot of change since being acquired in 2022- feels like stabilization is finally happening.
