Pros

I work in BrandVerity’s London office in England. For my first assignment I was flown out to Seattle, USA to to familiarise myself with my new colleagues, the culture and the company’s vision. In between training an overnight corporate retreat was scheduled to celebrate a significant revenue milestone. During my 2 week stay, we also celebrated employee anniversaries and birthdays as a company, whilst also following company tradition of sharing toast when new business was closed over a certain threshold. Shortly before my arrival BrandVerity had moved to a new office overlooking Elliot Bay. This made for a fantastic working environment and an opportunity to establish ourselves in the heart of a major US city. In London, BrandVerity make a concerted effort to replicate the right work/life balance, which is reflected in their unlimited holiday policy and encouragement to find time to exercise. Although our office is adapting to the challenges associated with international expansion there is a strong family feeling replicating the headquarters that you would associate with a passionate and prospering start-up. I would strongly recommend considering a position with BrandVerity and am confident of a long and successful career here.

Cons

If you unwilling to accommodate calls at times that fit with the USA's west coast or be responsive to tasks outside of your remit then this may not be the job for you! As the company progresses and expands internationally we will need to find the right balance between proven processes and new, scalable ideas to fit local needs.

Pros

BrandVerity is all about empowering employees. You won't be micromanaged here, we all trust each other to figure out how to get things done. BrandVerity is also also huge on individual growth, both professionally and personally. This mindset creates a great work-life balance and an even better company culture. I can't imagine a more supportive work environment - it's a real team atmosphere and we all find ways to celebrate our success as individuals and as a company. It's also full of energetic, passionate employees who truly believe in what we're trying to achieve and are motivated to be successful.

Cons

You won't be hand held through anything here. You'll be given the tools and education you need to be successful, but it's generally up to us as individuals to figure things out and push things through. If you do better in an environment that guides you through things step by step this might not be the right fit. Also, our rapid growth comes along with some growing pains - we're still learning the best way to tackle new challenges as they come up, so we don't always get it right on the first try.
