Pros

Rewarding to see and hear the success stories of the young people who move on from care. This is down to the love and support of the key front line workers, not 'Senior Management'.

Cons

A bullying management team at head office, staff mysteriously and suddenly leave, become demoted or pushed out of roles they love. A highly funded and financed charity that can't put a figure on what £5, £10 or £20 would actually do to help a young person in care or moving on. Staff are not given the opportunity to flourish and grow in roles, no coaching or development. Staff affairs, no clear vision or future thoughts of what the charity aims to do. The answer is tackle the wider issues so young people don't have to face care. Overpaid CEO and senior management teams that do what exactly??...

Pros

Job has good variety The support structures within Break is better than other companies in the sector Job has measurable improvements that you can see and feel on a day to day basis Working for a non-profit in the care sector is huge.

Cons

You will have tough days Pay is not competitive, but charity status is why Can be a lot of overtime if you aren't able to keep your boundaries
