The role was challenging due to a difficult management style and an unsupportive department culture. Communication was minimal and often unconstructive and I frequently felt isolated rather than part of a team. Management relied heavily on micromanagement and shifting expectations, which created a lack of trust despite work being completed correctly. There was also limited professionalism and sensitivity around employee wellbeing, which made the environment uncomfortable. I also observed a culture where overworking and missed breaks appeared to be normalised.
