Pros

- Pays in USD - Pays well compared to other companies in the Florianopolis area - Promotes events between the company's teams

Cons

- Management does not help the developer succeed - Upper echelon purposefully prefers the "shock treatment" instead of establishing software processes - "I know better" rhetoric and heated arguments often happen during stressful situations, which drives the receiving end into a corner - Lack of processes and guidelines leads to ad-hoc management based on anecdotal evidence, which means it sometimes oversteps boundaries or creates a sense of distrust

Pros

- 100% remote - Extremely Transparent - you can know anything you want about any part of the company. Little to no operational visibility blockers(other than obviously client NDA's) - Culture is very good. It is highly focused in making the workday of the Engineers as productive as possible, and you will not have to haggle for PTOs and such. - The overal workforce (ie the people) are highly qualified, consisting mostly of Senior-level personel in all roles, and quite a few PhDs. This results in a company where you have very little bureacracy. Need a VM? Ask for it. Thats most of the procedure. - Clocking and time management are needed, but extremely simple. I have seen complaints about this but that is mostly a personal matter of being responsible with your time. The main cultural focus of the company is transparency. Transparency in your team, transparency with your clients and transparency with the company itself. This may look like micromanagement for unexperienced people, But anyone who has decent experience will see that the level of transparency is what guides excellency in a company. You ARE NOT incentivized to overwork. As a matter of fact, overtime is one of the few places where you need pre-approval, Overworking is by default more troublesome than working normally. - Work hours: work 40 hours a week. how you distribute that is up to you. I for one work something like 8:30/6:30 and so on for most of the week, You will need to align work hours with the client - ie please don't work in opposite shifts from the client unless requested, but so long as there is overlap you can probably work any hours you want.

Cons

- You only get national holidays as days off (not a big problem - just something to take note of)

Pros

Payment, happy people, good to improve yourself if you can learn alone

Cons

Lack of training, you must already know how to work, clocking for each task, many reports (daily, weekly), sometimes stressful
