Pros
Good hours and guaranteed 35 hours a fortnight. Fun work that sometimes doesn't even feel like work. Hours go by quickly. Easy to pick up more shifts. A lot of the co-workers are really nice and supportive, as well as a diverse range of ages and backgrounds.
Cons
Management can be quite unpleasant at times and is pretty distant from the climb leaders and other staff. Businesses put themselves first in certain situations, which makes customers angry, and employees have no useful help to manage them. Training can be inconsistent and confusing due to there being no definitive answers to true or false regarding facts, stories and instructions. Other co-workers can be unpleasant, guest services never get pulled up on not doing their jobs, so climb leaders will end up doing most of their jobs as well.
