Pros
1) It's the one place where focusing and understanding your weakness results in greater believability and power 2) You're surrounded by really smart people
Cons
1) Some of those really smart people are really smart at gaming the system 2) The principles seem to be applied similarly across functions (one could argue that isn't principled), with the bad outcome being things take longer and cost more without reducing risk or other benefits
