Pros

-Standard perks, inflated salaries -Some great people in various roles -Wonderful office and location

Cons

As evidenced by the other negative reviews (not written by cofounders), this is less than an ideal place to work in any function. Some highlights: -"Executing" on a vision unquestioned and unchanged for years. As mentioned elsewhere, the product is designed for a userbase of millions (and user scaling plans are never discussed) -Incredibly weak leadership team. "Failing upwards" is a phrase that comes to mind here. -Product viability is never examined, standard software development practices ignored. Whoever is the loudest usually gets his or her way ultimately. -As mentioned elsewhere, HR practices are indeed abhorrent, especially in recruiting candidates for roles. Be VERY careful here. -Favoritism and arbitrary promotions to less-than-qualified people causes internal conflict and poor team cohesion. -Incredible defensiveness and sanctimony when product or business roadmaps are challenged; not a lot of room for new ideas or collaborations

Pros

Endless amounts of money (though how it's spent is VERY questionable at times), beautiful office space with lunch provided every day and otherwise good facilities. Flexible PTO policy. Friendly employees.

Cons

Lots of product pivots after trying something for a few months and realizing it doesn't work. Generally the team doesn't feel engaged on the product that they're building at any given time, and leadership is too willing to bend to whatever the company's main funder wants, which is understandable but makes it hard for employees to feel committed. Little growth opportunities within the company. Abhorrent HR practices. Lots of talk about creating company values and culture, but no action. Clear favoritism of certain employees by members of the leadership team, which leads to really disappointing decisions and hypocrisy.
