Pros

Direct supervisor cared about me and there was opportunities to earn more. Work wasn't too bad and there was growth when the company thrived. I wish I could say more positive things about this job, because it was one of the better ones I had, but the business practices and poorly managed company setbacks outweigh them.

Cons

Backend processes were shady and borderline illegal. Company has had multiple lawsuits and fines related to permitting issues and malpractice. Customer's contracts were sometimes inflated for sales rep's commissions, sometimes up to 50%. Transparency to clients was not encouraged and though there were some legitimate red tape issues, most of it was intentionally bypassed. CEO was abusive and known to have "Tantrums," (HR's phrasing), but was passionate about his work. Made several employees cry or step down and was rarely transparent about the negatives of the business, likely to prevent a break in moral, and honestly did steer his ship well during Covid by looking to the future, but with changes in our political climate happened in 2025 it was clear the end of the company was in sight. When layoffs happened the first time, (citing that we were let go due to not meeting some unknown metric and thus we were being laid off as a courtesy, aka all BS), the remaining employees were notified of a $15M deficit and tie up of funds, information that was known prior by management and would've been nice to have been told sooner in order to make succession planning instead of having an hour's notice before getting the can. As recently as of 3 weeks ago there were claims on Reddit of employees not being paid for two weeks consecutively. Major upper-management figures have quit as well and finding a new job after this one has definitely been a 7 week fight. Sexual Harassment or reports were rarely properly handled by HR despite multiple reports from various employees. It was very uncomfortable watching Quid Pro Quo happen and being told nothing could be done about it since it was "he said, she said" despite multiple witnesses. There was a bias in the employees that they did take actions against as well. Most of the managers were ok, but there were a few that outright belittled employees, did nothing but watch videos on their phones all day, and had their friends or family members hired so they could all go to lunch together and converse on company time.

Pros

There are no pros worth mentioning in the past year.

Cons

Beware. Anything positive to say about this company has disappeared in the past 1-2 years. This company is dishonest and treats it's employees like they dont matter. This CEO blames employees for the company's downfall despite his own incompetence and ego. He is ruining lives. There is no management to be found. Layoffs continue. The company is failing and they continue to lie to employees. The CEO has told management to tell employees we are not going bankrupt to get ahead of rumors. However, all internal signs point to that. It is a weekly balancing act between paying contractors vs paying employee payroll. Every week, delayed payroll is blamed on "processing issues." When complaints are made, we're told it's because we aren't doing our jobs correctly. Now, the benefits have been downgraded under the guise of "offering quality healthcare coverage while providing greater flexibility and long-term sustainability..." This means that out of pocket maxes very nearly doubled. Premiums increased. And deductibles increased, as well, all for poorer coverage. I cannot express how poorly this company treats and views it's employees. BPS deserves to dissolve and all management involved in the unethical treatment and dishonesty ought to be ashamed. As an extra slap in the face, while stepping on the backs of people who actually try to improve the company, the CEO has the gall to tout his moral superiority and lecture others about recycling unused product and respecting the earth. He's an absolute joke.
