Pros

Good environment, really awesome manager.

Cons

Being a queer person whose job hinged on meeting the needs of a borderline fascist political organization.

We're glad you thought the environment was good and that you had an awesome manager. That's great feedback. BrightVine is a very inclusive workplace. One-third of the management team and many team members self-identify as LGBTQIA; we provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. With more than 180 clients, we serve a wide array of organizations, and as individuals, we may not agree with all of our customers' missions. However, our great managers work with team members to ensure they're in a good working environment like the one you mentioned.

Pros

The company offers a lot of flexibility and while it's not a 9-5 job per se, I was able to adjust my schedule when I was taking a class. The smaller team environment is conducive to collaboration.

Cons

Much like any consulting job, there are some longer days as you work to complete projects for customers

Pros

The BrightVine team are all exceptionally hard working and have an unwavering dedication to client success. We also inject as much fun into our daily work lives as possible. There is a strong sense of altruism at BrightVine. This team truly cares about the industry and we strive to make a difference through our work.

Cons

BrightVine is a small, yet nimble team. We tend to work at a pretty fast pace, requiring frequent context switching. We all wear multiple hats as well, so you're going to do a little bit of everything. As a fully virtual company, there are not as many opportunities for face time, and this can be a challenging environment, especially for someone new to the world of consulting.
