Pros
I was previously with Brightwheel as an IC before leaving for another opportunity, and ultimately chose to come back, which I think says a lot about the company. The culture is collaborative, the mission is meaningful, and there are genuinely talented people across the organization who care about customers and each other. I’ve experienced Brightwheel both as an individual contributor and now in leadership, and one thing that has remained consistent is the investment in employee growth. Managers are supportive, leadership is approachable, and there’s a strong coaching culture. Employees are trusted to own their work while still receiving the guidance they need to succeed. The pace is fast, but it creates opportunities to learn, solve interesting problems, and make a meaningful impact. If you’re someone who enjoys building, improving processes, and working with smart, motivated teammates, Brightwheel is a great place to grow your career.
Cons
Like most high-growth companies, priorities can evolve quickly, so being adaptable is important. Cross-functional processes are continually improving, and there are times when communication or handoffs between teams could be even more streamlined as the company continues to scale.
