Pros
None that I can think of. It was a job.
Cons
They fired the entire staff and rehired everyone as contractors so they can let people go without paying severance. That tells you everything.
The CEO lies constantly. To employees. To customers. To pretty much anyone who will listen. There are actual judgments against him and even arrest warrants tied to stealing from employees in Thailand. This isn’t rumor stuff.
It’s hard to work somewhere when you know what’s being done behind the scenes, especially to their biggest customer in Iowa, a well-respected buying group. They have a great reputation right now, but if this keeps up, that won’t last.
Employees are told one story while something completely different is happening. He genuinely thinks people don’t see it.
After the layoffs, most of the new contractors are Spanish-speaking workers brought in at lower cost. Several of us were let go immediately. It was clearly about cutting labor costs and avoiding payouts.
The company has been around for years and still doesn’t make money. Yet we’re constantly told we’re “leading the industry.” We aren’t. The customer base is non-existent compared to every major competitor.
They have been bragging about the one and only customer that represents 99.99999% of the revenue to make them look good but it is getting old. That company does not use the platform very much after years of trying.
