Pros

Working at Brillio offered the opportunity to get hands-on experience applying AI in a specific domain. During my time there, I appreciated being able to contribute deep subject matter expertise to meaningful client initiatives. I worked on two accounts. The main account was a young team that tackled a complex project and the 2nd project team consisted of impressive collaborative professionals from day 1 who really understood how to build iteratively. Brillio leadership expressed gratitude for the domain value I brought, especially during my transition conversations.

Cons

Unfortunately, the role expectations, growth transparency, and career alignment were poorly managed. Brillio brought me in as an experienced domain professional but wanted to relabel me as a Business Analyst or Product Owner at any given time, which undermined my level of expertise. I was swapped out of the main account I was specifically hired to grow. Then I was reassigned to a new account without clear rationale. That took me by surprise especially when I clearly stated during my interview I’m here for the main account(my former employer). Additionally, the company’s handling of internal compensation transparency and equity is concerning. Although I appreciate pay transparency, Brillio accidentally disclosed salary details of a new team member in a lower-cost region, who was hired to take over my role for my initial account. The new hire was paid substantially more despite having less experience and no domain expertise, which was disheartening. These practices created confusion, reduced morale, and made it difficult to trust leadership’s intentions around career development or fairness.

Pros

You typically don't have to interact with Brillio much; 99% of the time, I just work with the vendor company.

Cons

HR regularly requires vague, useless reviews and assigns mandatory trainings that are out-of-touch at best. Additionally, you have to access the company email through a windows VM; a drawn out process involving several MFA authentications just to check email. IT support rarely picks up unless you manage to escalate it with your manager/HR somehow.
