Pros
A select few employees within the company have morals and ethics. When they are concentrated in one department, and you work with them, life is not too bad. Unfortunately, they are the exceptions in the grand scheme, and oftentimes they don't last (or they change) in this environment. There may be a lot of decent people at the company, but they have been beaten down into accepting tyrannical and immoral office dealings. And no matter which department you are in, you will still have to deal with the other insane personalities on a regular basis.
Cons
Leadership & culture are a political game. You will experience either a lack of direction or a direction that is constantly changing. You are held responsible for knowing which it is on a daily basis. Employees are often yelled at, profanities fly through the office, and many people find the only way to defend themselves is to throw someone else under the bus. Company is full of backstabbers, because issues are not dealt with in proper ways. Too many people become a product of the environment. Job performance is cut-throat. Very little, if any, training is provided. Customer service probably gives the most training. But any other department is sink or swim. And if you do not know how to do something, don't bother asking. Trying to learn new things is not really encouraged - too many people stuck in their ways. You will still be held accountable for not knowing the information and doing something wrong - i.e. reprimanded. Reviews are almost non-existent. Don't expect to be rewarded if you do happen to go above and beyond. HR is a joke - they do not solve the actual issues at the company between employees,. They do not reign in dictator management, and they do nothing to correct the damaging culture. This is probably because they themselves are afraid to truly stand up - they would lose their jobs. Compensation can be good if you are recruited from a different company. They will pay a fair amount of money to keep people around, even though you will not be treated well. If you are promoted from within - expect to be low-balled. You will NOT be paid at the same level as an outside hire. Overall - this company is a last resort for a job. You have to be a little insane to want to stay there.
