Pros

Decent day time work hours 9AM-6PM.

Cons

1. Extremely poor management and leadership. 2. Working every weekend with no breaks. 3. Extreme favoritism in the office environment based on appearance and sales. 4. Bullying allowed and encouraged without consequences from upper management. 5.Unfair hiring conditions. (people would be hired based on their appearance) 6.Unfair delegation of apartment sales 1 person would receive 10 apartment bonuses every 2 weeks and the rest would get 0-5. 7.Sexual harassment is not taken seriously or dealt with when brought o managements attention and is allowed to continue. 8. Employee suicide rate rising. 9. Maintenance on site using drugs, alcohol, tobacco daily while at work. 10. Micromanagement 11. An extremely stingy company, they would rather get something done as cheap as possible rather than doing it the correct way. 12. Very unhappy residents, angry office calls are a daily occurrence. 13. Blatant lack of trust for employee performance, all leasing agents are forced to sell apartments to fake shoppers set up and paid for by Broadmoor to gain insight and information on their staff. Then that information is used against you and you are given a score based on if you did a good job or not. 14. Maintenance extremely rude to residents and other employees daily and typically have foul strong body odor or cigarette smoke smell to them at all times that is never addressed by management.

Pros

I worked for Broadmoor from 1999 until 2016. I began as a resident at one of their communities, while in college, and was asked by the office staff if i would be interested in a part time job. I accepted having no idea what to expect. What I received: The most unbelievable extended family one could ask for. Worked with amazing people each day. The absolute best of hours, pay, upper management, benefits, flexibility... you name it and Broadmoors' got it. My co-workers were ALWAYS wonderful. Three of them were actually in my wedding! I never once woke up and thought, "ugh I hate my job." Never. We had yearly golf outings, bowling tourneys, volleyball tourneys, company wide lunch events, holiday parties...the list goes on and on! Each year the top communities would win an all expenses paid vacation. I went to Cabo San Lucas, South Beach (x2), and Scottsdale (x2). The trips would have 30-50 people and helped create a strong personal bond with other employees from different Broadmoor communities and with the amazing corporate office staff. And when I say all expenses paid, I mean ALL. At 5 star hotels. Free food. Free booze. Hot air balloon ride. Jet skiing in ocean. Party boat in Cabo. Golf. Riding ATV's on huge sand dunes at sunset. Karaoke. ANYTHING you want to do...not to mention a few hundred dollars cash given to everyone at the airport just prior to take off. The owners and management are second to none, allowing the on-site staff to succesfully run the community without micro managing. They allow the employees to do what it takes to give the best customer service to each resident. The maintenance and grounds crews work their tails off and rarely left at the end of the day with open work order tickets . These guys made my job so much easier! Broadmoor sincerely cares about each employee and their families and constantly prove it. They are local to the Midwest and I noe reside on the west coast. The difference between the way Broadmoor conducts business compared to my new company in CA is mind blowing. Everyday I wish Broadmoor would build a community in southern CA. I miss the entire family and keep praying daily I will find a company here that has even a tiny portion of the same ethics and standards as Broadmoor. If you are lucky enough to be offered a position here, take it. You will never look back.

Cons

Honestly, it is a really great company and it is difficult for me to think of something . I guess the only "con" I am able to think of is that it would have been nice to receive some sort of clothing/drycleaning allowance when I was younger for business casual attire.
