Pros
Exposure to leading edge software technologies is great. They are not cowed by the lawyers afraid to touch open source software, rather they embrace it wherever possible. This is a great company to gain experience and exposure. They also allow me time off when needed without a lot of hoopla. I appreciate this, and it makes it difficult to ponder leaving. They also give me 6 weeks vacation after 4 years service, even if they do forced shutdowns at July 4th and Christmas.
Cons
Not much peer respect compared to other companies. The bonus/profit sharing plan pits engineers against team leads, and against managers. All are vying for the same bucket of dollars. So you can guess who gets the higher percentages on payouts.
