Pros
Brocade has a wonderful culture and great people to support it. Everyone is always willing to talk to anyone else. There is no "You're not from my department" attitudes like previous employers I've had. Everyone is willing to assist you with an issue you are stuck on. The environment is laid back and open-minded. They do tons of work in the community and raise funds for local food shelf and families in need all through fun events like a dunk tank you can volunteer co-workers for or a mini golf event that each department makes its own course; And all money raised is donated.
Cons
There seems to be a disconnect from upper management to the department managers and directors at times. You will hear rumors of big changes long before anything is officially announced. Then after the announcement you have no time to prep for the major change they are implementing. Upper management always has giant grand plans and will hint at them but never let the company's employees know until it's being sprung on them Training in my department was non-existing when I started. We were basically thrown at the job and told to read manuals/guides/old cases and learn as we go. Good thing we have an environment the fosters collaboration or most people would sink, not swim here
