Pros
You get to learn a lot about the government world, the accounting is very particular and detailed oriented. You get to ware many hats so you get to have a lot of exposure to many different things. And there's a small salary increase every year, only if there funding for it. Improvements are being made, small, close knit company but looking to expand.
Cons
Once you've gained all of the experience needed, is easy to get comfortable and less challenging. A lot starts to feel repetitive, there isn't really room for growth and that may include your salary depending on the department. Due to politics it may play a disadvantage. Minimum basic benefits.
