Pros
Big company name that can lead to future opportunities
Cons
Brookfield faces numerous challenges. The most significant issue is the company's ultra-conservative stance, a sentiment even echoed by HR leaders. If you are a minority seeking a promotion, you may likely be overlooked in favor of a white colleague. HR, which should lead by example, falls short in this regard. Our team suffers from ineffective leadership and rampant favoritism, with promotions often going to friends of leaders rather than deserving employees. The company culture appears to be a facade, with limited growth opportunities and unclear career progression paths. Additionally, employees often feel siloed, hindering collaboration and innovation. Compensation is both low and inconsistent across similar roles. Furthermore, several rounds of reductions in force (RIFs) over the past year have made it difficult to envision a stable future here.
