Pros

good friends made through the years, every other weekend off.

Cons

absolutely terrible, management do not care about staff well being, senior leadership team have made comments about staff well being, not considerate to over working, low staff levels. Wouldn't trust any of the management team. Very cliquey, avoid.

Pros

Predominantly nice people / team and nice work to have purpose helping people.

Cons

Poor workplace culture of not fairly remunerating staff for increased responsibilities/ taking on more tasks. I have seen this taken to an employment tribunal in my time there by one employee and they won the settlement. Do not care about the mental health of staff, consistently being pushed to braking point, several stall off with their mental health in my time there. One of the senior leadership team told a colleague that stress doesn't exist- trying to say it was a figment of their imagination, despite physical symptoms. Long waits to see if your pay rise is approved, I waited over 6 months and still heard nothing back, very awkward if you ask chasing it up. Made to feel like you are a nuisance. Different staff members paid and treated differently for the same roles. No automatic incremental pay rise annually. Promises of a bonus for taking on additional responsibilities that never materialise. The place was held together by the good will of staff members consistently going above and beyond, donating their own time, money and goods to keep the place ticking over. Such as donating wheelchairs or continence pads. Cliquey environment, can be exclusionary. Poor equipment for work environment- no money to provide adequate office furniture, causing physical pain to employees. Lack of budget for basic equipment to safety of patients such as air mattresses.
