Pros

Good for those who enjoy drinks/social on a Thursday. Nice office, good location.

Cons

- Lied to throughout recruitment process, made to believe role is better than it is. - Long hours. - Low salary (25k) - No commission structure. If the business is doing bad don’t expect any sort of reward for hard work. It’s discretionary so you pretty much get what you’re given, every single employee I spoke to was dissatisfied with the bonus given. The performance bonus is also only given out once a year in December so it often ends up with people either losing out on commission or losing months of their lives working in a place which doesn’t suit them in order to receive commission pay. - Toxic CEO. James Baker has instilled toxic behaviour in the entire company, starting from the directors and trickling down throughout. - Fake job adverts. Buchanan constantly put out fake job ads with misleading titles, causing unknowing graduates to apply. Once they’ve applied for said role, they are subsequently spun into recruitment via time pressure and lies. - Poor training and management. Barely any time is made for associates to receive training, and management is toxic at every level. - General office etiquette. Senior people speak to those below them like they are beneath them. Extremely condescending, rude, dismissive and patronising to junior people.
