Pros
- Opportunities for hands on work. Wasn’t simply a desk job. - Bonuses and pizza parties for working safely without accidents.
Cons
- Actual duties and responsibilities differed greatly from the job description and felt my skills were not being utilized. - Was made to work as a receptionist (great use of an engineering degree!) since they were dealing with high turnover for that position, simply because I was lowest on the totem pole. - Most of my job responsibilities revolved around supporting testers who were difficult to work with. - Management and company culture was very antiquated, even toxic at times. - Was required to work 50hrs/week and frequently come in on the weekend. - Most people who worked there were miserable and didn’t seem enjoy working there. - Not many people my age working there. Most of the employees were in their mid to late 40’s or older.
