Pros

Fast paced enterprise software that has a large market. Quick releases of new features and products. Solid process that was refined over time, with management always looking to make sustainable improvements. Nice work environment where coworkers are genuinely teammates and friends, even outside of office hours. Management very approachable and responsive, even when out of office. General feeling that everyone was part of a team to get this product out there.

Cons

Could be a very demanding job, as we were chronically understaffed. I felt like hiring was based a lot on gut feeling, especially before an HR person was brought on the team, and therefore many employees were not a good fit culturally. The direction of the business (strategy) was not always well communicated, and info was sometimes slow to reach staff, which would cause confusion.

Pros

"Free" Company Swag: While receiving branded merchandise like t-shirts, water bottles, or tote bags might seem like a nice perk initially, these items often end up cluttering your space and serve little practical purpose. Employees may prefer benefits that have a more direct impact on their well-being or professional development. Office Ping-Pong Tables: Many companies tout office game rooms or recreational areas as a way to promote a fun and relaxed work environment. However, these amenities often serve as distractions rather than productivity boosters. Employees may prefer benefits that support work-life balance or professional growth opportunities. Discounted Gym Memberships: While discounted gym memberships may seem like a valuable benefit for promoting employee health and wellness, they may not be practical for all employees. Some may already have memberships elsewhere or prefer other forms of exercise. Offering more flexible wellness benefits that cater to individual needs and preferences may be more effective. "Casual Fridays": Instituting a casual dress code on Fridays may be seen as a way to boost employee morale and create a more relaxed atmosphere. However, for many employees, the difference between casual and formal attire may be minimal, and the impact on morale may be negligible. Employees may value benefits that have a more tangible impact on their job satisfaction and well-being.

Cons

One of the most glaring issues at Building Stack, or DomumLink, is the glaring discrepancy between the company's marketing promises and the reality of its products. From the outside, Building Stack presents itself as a cutting-edge solution for property management, promising streamlined workflows and enhanced efficiency. However, once inside, employees quickly discover that the software is riddled with bugs, lacks essential features, and is incredibly cumbersome to use. Basic tasks that should be simple and straightforward become needlessly complex, leading to frustration and wasted time for both employees and clients.

Pros

- nicely diverse staff - solid division of concentration between dev/sales - convenient location - drive to improve and demonstrated follow through When I joined the company in May 2019 there were, well... _problems_ with process and code quality. I initially had some misgivings about my choice to join the company... as well, I did read all the reviews posted here and they definitely coloured my impression of what working at BuildingStack full time would be like. In the few short months I've been here the team - with strong support from management - has made strong strides in all the areas of my concern. Took advice to heart and - most importantly - everyone bought in to the changes in workflow (i.e. stringent code standards, regular code reviews, harmonizing the devops flow). Every company is going to have issues all their own, that's going to be expected but what more can you hope for than a team that is willing and able to change quickly to address problems? Not much else.

Cons

- tech stack leaves performance to be desired - proceses still in flux - weirdly secretive about things that don't need to be kept secret - dreadful, dreadful coffee (its _real_ bad... vaguely drinkable... but free)
