Thanks for taking a few minutes to leave a review of your time here. I'm happy to see that you met lifelong contacts/friends here, that you took advantage of our terrific benefit plans, and most important, that you had an environment that you could do your best work!
I also appreciate your feedback on areas that didn't meet your expectations. I do want to comment on the PTO piece. Every year, mid way through the year, we run a report to check in on PTO with a number of lenses - who is tracking it or not, who hasn't taken very much at all, and who has some high amounts YTD. It's not just looking for abuse, but to flag issues (employees with personal issues we didn't know about that HR can better support), folks not taking enough time off, management not monitoring or tracking, etc. I'm not sure how this was worded back to you, but it sounds like the message got lost in translation. An employee who has taken an extreme amount of time off half way through the year, and who is still performing exceptionally in their job is not the issue - to me, that's a management issue - like does this person have the right goals? Are they in the wrong role? Could they be adding value in another role/promotion/etc? The intent is not punative, it's to be sure that our managers are managing their teams and their workloads appropriately - on both sides. It appears it came off otherwise to you. If you ever want to connect - you know where to find me. :) I wish you the best of success in your new role!! - Kelley Morse, CPO
