Pros

Great coworkers for the most part, caring company, good work life balance, hybrid and off at 1 on Fridays

Cons

Corporate politics suck, your experience will depend on your manager and overall team vibe. most people are great to work with. with corporate politics, I don’t often feel I can do my job properly when I need permission to do things essential for the job. Idk why I need permission to reach out to other managers or do things that are my job.

Pros

I have enjoyed working for the Burlington Sherman Oaks location. I had worked at this location from grand opening to now. This location has some of the best staff with excellent work ethic and leadership.

Cons

This location is quite small and does not get many customers. Very little hours for part time employees.

Pros

The discounts are great! If one of the good managers/team leads is working, I'll be able to get an extra smoke break or maybe even two. Otherwise, it's not happening. They've been very, very flexible with everyone's hours! Much better than anywhere else I've worked! I really appreciate that the majority of the staff haven't been racist, discriminating, judgemental, etc. They've given work opportunities to all types of people (they're not picky on one's race, disability, age, looks, etc). 👍 They really do seem to be an equal-opportunity employer.

Cons

There has been lots and lots of theft because they have absolutely no security other than their products' tags. Almost rarely do we see a janitor or the manager. It's been very hard to get used to coworkers because they're constantly going through staff! It's not just me that's been bothered by it. Plus, SO many staff, including myself, have always whined and complained about our lack of hours, but the full-time staff get overtime?! Yeah, the amount of hours absolutely sucks when it's not a big "shopping" time! Your best luck for getting your wanted hours is only around Christmas and back-to-school. 🙄
