Run by a leadership team with no vision or capabilities - the MD has no ambition or drive and doesn't value you (he is very much an "I'm important look at me" type, meaning he doesn't really do anything other than show off). Many staff e.g. Client Services are just big ego know-nothings who actually harm productivity with their constant need for validation - you'd have a more productive conversation with a fence post sometimes. You'll get tired and bored of the ridiculous egotistical environment within a year. No chance for progression despite what the job ads say. You might as well invest your time and energy in yourself, as they won't. They pay you peanuts because "they aren't in central London" but even then you would be better off working part time in several cases. They do not value key departments and staff, and as a result morale is always low. Values and culture.....what is that? Burrows has no identity. Nobody knows them. Your CV will thank you for going to a real company and brand. They have one main client that accounts for the vast majority of income, and guess what, thats risky business and especially when that client is in free fall themselves globally. Please, please, remember your value and don't be exploited. I fell for the false promises for two years too long, and can't tell you enough how much getting out has helped me, not only in my career but in all aspects of life. Burrows might as well be called "we don't care about our work, you or our clients" and "we only get work as we get bailed out by the larger group of companies".
