Pros

In four years of working at Busuu I wasn't once bored with my tasks. They're ever changing and evolving with the company goals and growth, which means you get plenty of opportunities to grow yourself. Management are extremely supportive of professional development and so is the whole team. We all work together and the hierarchies are clear but fairly low. You'd speak to all head-ofs and everyone at C-levels just as much as to your team mates. At Busuu, everyone always works hard on improving the process - communication here is key. The obvious pros are of course our quarterly team outings, previous company trips to Mallorca, Crete, and Croatia. Breakfast and snacks in the kitchen, a gym membership and flexible working hours, perks like food when you have to work late as well as a great WFH policy make work and life at Busuu very enjoyable.

Cons

Everyone is expected to work really hard and push towards reaching the targets, even if that means working more hours here and there. Even at entry-level you're expected to work independently and overcome obstacles by yourself and get a lot of responsibility. The pay might be relatively low compared to bigger and more established firms.

Cons

Really none at all. I can’t think of anything that stands out.

Pros

- The new management is very nice and understanding. - I've noticed that even when I provide all the necessary information when canceling a lesson, they still have to repeat steps, likely due to company policy. - The only reason I stay is because I absolutely love my students. - It can be challenging to find a job without a degree in the TEFL industry

Cons

-Asked for a raise, completely ignored me. -Very difficult to cancel lessons. -Don't know how well you're doing as a teacher so you're in constant "competition" with other teachers to keep your position. -I've heard that they can fire you without any notice or reason. -Changed policy that you can only do 25 hours per week
