Pros
The company culture - when I started at Busuu we were about a third of the company size now, and keeping the culture the same despite the rapid growth was always a top priority. We're a big bunch of friends that respect each other, but we also work extremely hard. The company goals are super transparent too. We learn about how the company's doing in our weekly team meetings, we can ask our CEO any questions, we have dedicated mental health supporters, a people's person that we trust, and managers who go the extra miles for their teams. I've never heard of a company where any level of experience is appreciated as much as at Busuu - you have an idea? They'll listen.
Cons
The pay can be lower than industry standards, but you get free breakfast, yum snacks, drinks, team events, dinners, and a bonus if the company performs to target.
